Diane: Finding Balance and Energy in Paris
A Paris-based runner and fashion professional, Diane prepares for her personal best while training with intensity and focus as part of the PB Protocol.

Diane is sharpening her speed and endurance on the streets of Paris, each training session designed to push her limits and improve performance. As part of the PB Protocol, the HOKA Semi de Paris is her next challenge, a moment to put all her preparation to the test and chase her first road race personal best.
“This will be my first road race, so my first PB. It’s exciting and a little stressful, but I can’t wait to see how it goes.”

For Diane, the intensity of her training is key to performing at her best. She focuses on hard workouts that test her pace and endurance, knowing that completing them will give her confidence when race day arrives.
“I like hard training sessions, to go all in. Knowing I’ve pushed myself gives me confidence on race day.”
Training with a group has transformed the way she approaches performance. Running alongside teammates motivates her to push beyond what she could achieve alone, while also providing a sense of shared effort and support.
“Training in a group changed everything for me. I learned to push myself further and to push others. Even if I don’t hit my PB, seeing someone else achieve theirs helps me stay focused and positive.”

Visualisation and mindset are equally important in her preparation. During training, Diane mentally rehearses pacing, effort, and challenging moments, which helps her stay calm and confident when the race begins.
“The calmer and more confident I feel at the start of a race, the more I know I’ve grown. Remembering that I’ve completed tough training sessions reassures me that I can handle whatever the race throws at me.”
For Diane, the PB Protocol is about high-intensity, structured preparation and measurable progress. Every run, every group session, and every moment of focus brings her closer to achieving her first personal best on the road.
“I almost like the journey to the race more than the race itself because that is where I see my progress.”

Through focused training and mental strategy, Diane is turning preparation into performance, ready to prove herself at the HOKA Semi de Paris.
