Marco: Discipline leads the way
A Milan-based runner and producer, Marco joins the PB Protocol to unlock his potential through structured training, collective effort, and a disciplined approach to performance.

Marco has spent years running on instinct. Self-taught and consistent, he built his routine around volume, running often and relying on repetition rather than structure. The PB Protocol marked a turning point, offering him the opportunity to understand his abilities through a guided and more conscious training path.
“I accepted the PB Protocol because I wanted to fully exploit my potential and really see what I’m capable of.”
One of the biggest shifts for Marco has been learning to train smarter. Working with a coach and a group introduced a balance between effort and recovery, helping him understand when to push and when to slow down. This change has reshaped the way he approaches performance, moving from accumulation to intention.
“I’m learning to manage my training differently, understanding when it’s time to accelerate and when it’s time to rest.”

Training in Milan provides the rhythm for this new routine. Marco often runs at the Idroscalo, a place that allows him to disconnect from the city and focus fully on the session. Early mornings are his preferred time to train, when the environment is quiet and his body feels ready to work.
The collective nature of the PB Protocol plays a central role in his preparation. Training alongside others creates accountability and constant stimulation, pushing him to test himself in ways he would not do alone.
“The fact that the PB Protocol is a collective effort pushes me to constantly test myself. Group motivation is fundamental. You pull each other along.”
Mindset is just as important as physical training. During sessions, Marco focuses on pace and breathing while visualising race day, using mental preparation to stay engaged and push through demanding efforts.
“During training, I visualise what race day will be like. That’s what keeps me pushing harder.”

The HOKA Semi de Paris is the destination of this process and the moment where preparation turns into performance. For Marco, it represents the first true test of a new training philosophy built on structure, awareness, and quality.
“The HOKA Semi de Paris is a test of the work done over the winter and of this more professional training path. What I want to bring home is not only a PB, but the ability to train smarter, focusing on quality over quantity.”
For Marco, the PB Protocol can be summed up in a single word.
“Discipline. Discipline in every training session that leads to the final goal.”

Through structure, focus, and collective energy, Marco is turning discipline into performance, ready to test himself at the HOKA Semi de Paris.
